Amazing Flora and Fauna in Indonesia Rainforest

Indonesia has a wealth of diverse species of marine and terrestrial animals. It was influenced by the fertile soil of the volcanic lava and the minerals found in the soil and climate especially the sea was in Indonesia last all year.


Flora and fauna Indonesia is divided by an imaginary line called the Wallace Line. This line extends between Bali and Lombok, continue north between Kalimantan and Sulawesi. In the western part of the Wallace Line, flora and fauna are from Asia, while in the eastern part of the line, gathered flora and fauna similar to those in Australia.

The diversity of plants in the island nation affected precipitation and elevation of the land. On the island of high rainfall such as Sumatra, Kalimantan, and Papua the rainforests cover most of such a large area. These forests are rich in valuable timber, scented trees, spices, tropical fruits too exotic. In this country you can find arnoldi Rafflesia flower in Bengkulu as one giant flower that is unique in the world.


Indonesian orangutan wildlife is very diverse, ranging from Java deer (or kancil), one-horned rhino to orangutans in Sumatra and Kalimantan, anoa in Sulawesi, komodo dragons in Nusa Tenggara Timur and paradise birds are beautiful and cheerful in Papua.

To preserve the unique flora and fauna, the Indonesian government has made 44 national parks spread throughout the archipelago, both on land and at sea. Many nature reserves offering ecotourism packages or botanical garden to the zoo.
